Of all the Christian musicians I know in the world, none ministers more from the heart and clearly led by the spirit of God than Damaris Carbaugh. Her choice of songs is not only scripturally correct but spiritually convicting and really touches the heart. Her life and testimony are an example of what God can do with a person wholly committed to Him.

God’s Vocabulary
03/25/2009
Looking to hear from God? Here’s an insightful quote from Susan D. Hill from the book “Closer Than Your Skin.”
“The more you know the Bible, the more vocabulary God has to work with.”
Gordon Fee on the Apostle Paul
11/20/2008
Gordon Fee’s IVP commentary on the book of Philippians has a sentence that struck me deeply. Here it is:
“Here is one for whom the gospel is bigger than his personal role in making it known.”
Oh, that I would see the greatness of the gospel like Paul did. Romans 12:3 says, “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.”
The gospel is God’s answer to a lost world.
Spurgeon on Scripture
11/04/2008
The great 19th-century preacher Charles Haddon Spurgeon said of Scripture: “True Bible-readers and Bible-searchers never find it wearisome. They like it least who know it least, and they love it most who read it most. They find it newest who have known it longest, and they find the pasture to be the richest whose souls have been the longest fed upon it. When one of our missionaries (more…)
Christ In Me…
10/09/2008
This from Gay Lynn D.:
I have a quotable quote that might be a blessing to someone else as it is to me. I keep this quote taped to my computer as a daily reminder to me, a pastor’s wife.
“The secret is Christ in me, not me in a different set of cirumstances.” (Elizabeth Elliott)
Others May… You Cannot
10/08/2008
This is the kind of writing that I love. If it in any way bothers you then you may be immature in your walk with the Lord or far from Him. I pray you will read and be captivated with our glorious Savior who works in us through His Holy Spirit.
OTHERS MAY… YOU CANNOT
If God has called you to be really like Jesus he will draw you into a life of crucifixion and humility, and put upon you such demands of obedience, that you will not be able to follow other people, or measure yourself by other Christians, and in many ways he will seem to let other people do things which he will not let you do.
Other Christians and ministers who seem (more…)
Is Jesus wonderful?
09/30/2008
A dear pastor friend of ours has this quote in his Bible. He didn’t write it, but it serves to remind him, and all of us, how we ought to live, speak, and act:
“You can’t be clever and have Jesus wonderful at the same time.”
Think about it.
Often.
