I’ve met a lot of people who have a great heart for Christ, and I’ve met a few people who are gifted artists in song. Rarely have I met someone who embodies both of these strengths in such a complete way as Damaris Carbaugh. If you like good, Christ-honoring music from a gifted artist with passion, depth, and flair, then you’ll love Damaris’ ministry!

Doesn’t worrying mean I care?
10/22/2008
“Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” (Philippians 4:6 NLT) There is a tendency to consider worrying about something a way of caring but that is incorrect. Whenever the Bible says “Do not…” that is exactly what it means! The Lord is not being unsympathetic but rather shielding us from being weighed down with anxiety which renders us completely useless. We must learn to completely give up control of what we cannot control!! The Lord is near. He is faithful. He loves His children. He will accomplish His perfect will and His Word is His track record. Someone said that worrying is like praying to yourself! Jesus said that we cannot add a single hour to our life by worrying.
Forgive us Lord. Worrying is not a way of caring. It is an excuse to disobey you. When we are afraid you’ve told us what to do and that is to remember all you have done for us. King David wrote, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want…” and finishes the 23rd Psalm with, “… Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” That is not just lovely poetry to recite but truth that will strengthen and revive our faith.
So what’s it gonna be? I choose to trust the One who has never failed us.
