It's funny, Calvin's name popped up in my mind a couple of times recently and I thought about him a couple of times and his phenomenal testimony, but today, I was in church and our Pastor was teaching on the blood and the awesome testimony of Calvin's song about being clean came to my mind and I shouted out "I'm clean", acknowledging that through the blood of Jesus, I like Calvin was now clean. So I thought to myself when I go to work I'm going to look up his music and to my surprise, when I typed in his name I saw several websites announcing the death of Calvin Hunt, I thought maybe it was some incorrect mistake, but then I went to Damaris Carbaugh's website and I was familiar with her through the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, then I realized it was really true, Calvin Hunt was dead. It just bothers me that I never heard it before now.

Sadly, I was unable to attend the memorial service for Calvin Hunt, but I was so blessed to have had Damaris share, in the radio interview, how though Calvin's life Christ was honored in this beautiful, going home service. Thank you, Damaris, for sharing such intimate details about Calvin, as well as your relationship with Calvin and his family. My prayers are with you, Miriam and her family.

I was so moved by this interview about Calvin's life, his struggle, and how God had brought him out of his addiction to become a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Calvin truly was a faithful servant of our precious Lord, and he sang straight from his heart about how God had transformed his life. His song "I'm Clean" had really touched my heart and encouraged me in my walk with the Lord. What an inspiration Calvin had been for so many, and even though he is gone, his story will continue to inspire others who are struggling with addiction or whatever.
Damaris, thank you for sharing your thoughts about this precious man of God. May God fill you with His peace!
