Damaris Carbaugh is one of the most moving musicians I’ve ever encountered. Her voice is a unique mix of mellow tones and soothing harmonic charm that one doesn’t encounter often. More importantly, the anointing on her life to deliver God’s word through song is evident not merely by the way she sings but the way she lives. She and her family are a gift to the body of Christ.

More from Central America
10/30/2010
Damaris and I landed in Mexico City on Friday night and joined up with Dr. Joe Jordan, Executive Director of Word of Life, his wife, Melva, Bill and Mary Jo Price from Columbus, OH and Leo and Hirma Di Gilio, directors of Palabra de Vida, Mexico.
Saturday was a breakfast meeting and an evening concert.
Sunday saw us in a church in the morning and in the PDV facility in Queretaro for an evening gathering of all the PDV missionaries in Mexico.
Monday, we flew to Guatemala and had a radio interview, then an evening at the Guatemala City Police Academy.
Tuesday, we rested in the morning, then had a meeting in a church in the evening.
Wednesday, we had a businessmen’s breakfast meeting, then met in the PDV Guatemala office with the staff, then flew to Nicaragua.
Thursday, we had a meeting in a Christian school, then visited Perry’s organization in the mountains from where he distributes food for 40,000 children through the local churches. Perry is a good-old-boy with a huge heart for kids who has a furniture distribution company in NC, and splits his time between there and here. In the evening we did a concert in the Crowne Plaza convention center. I came back to the room to discover a flood from the room above. Scratch one iPhone and 9v battery charger. But the hotel was good for it.
Friday, we flew to San Pedro Sula in Honduras and did a concert in a church here.
Everywhere, Joe Jordan has preached, and dozens have come forward and made decisions for Christ. Fruitful harvests, everywhere.
This morning, Saturday, we did NOT go to the early breakfast meeting where Dr. Jordan is preaching, but we will fly to Tegucigalpa, Honduras for two meetings this afternoon/evening.
Then three meetings in a church tomorrow, and fly through Tampa then home on Monday.
Other than that, there really hasn’t been much to keep us occupied…
Thank you for your prayers!! We are thrilled to be a part of this trip and see what Jesus is doing in Mexico and Central America.
Here are some more pix.

Thanks for sharing God’s blessings! It’s a joy to hear of what is happening on this journey. Sorry to hear of the flood, but thankful that the loss was minimal. Talking with God about you!
