I love her heart, I love her passion and I love her music. Every time I work with her, I am convicted that I am in the presence of one who loves Jesus most of all. I enjoy her…I love her…if you meet her, you will too!

Dámaris’s mom in hospital
11/03/2008
We covet the prayers of all of our friends for Damaris’s mother, Rev. Aimee Cortese.
Damaris’s mother, was admitted to the hospital today for a catheterization of the heart. With that test, it was determined that several arteries around her heart were blocked, and she is in need of triple bypass surgery. Since she suffers from dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease, there are some complications regarding care, monitoring and other decisions. Dámaris’s sister will be providing a lot of the care, but there will need to be a lot of “sharing” in that responsibility.
We know that Aimee is in the hands of the Lord, and we will all be praying for a successful surgery. Please lift her situation up to our Lord for skill and wisdom of the doctors, a speedy recovery, and wise decisions and choices in the time ahead.
Thank you to all!

Blessings Damaris
You may not remember me but we grew up in the same church Tessalonica. I’m Angela, when I was young Debbie was my Sunday School teacher, she must have been young because I’m now 50 and you girls are just as young. I am sad to hear about Pastor Aimee, but I know that our Lord is in control of her life as he’s been for so long. Her life has touched many, so I know that right now your family can rest because many across the world are praying for you all.
Your family represents lives dedicated to God and trust in him that is unwavering. Give my love to JoAnnie and Debbie, let your Dad know that he is loved also and we are praying for him too. I keep the Cortese Sisters in my heart and my childhood Pastor, Pastor Garcia.
Continue to trust the Lord, he’s never failed you.
Love,
Angela

Peace, Ms. Damaris!
My name is Sonja Elise and I was one of the volunteers at the Inspire Women Conference this past weekend in Houston, Texas. I am listening to your CD “The Heart of God” as I write this comment that I was blessed by an Inspire Women sister on Friday. My prayers are continuously with you, your mother and family. God is so awesome and HIS awesomeness covers your mother constantly.
May the God of Esther, Ruth and Mary (Mother of Jesus) bless you richly from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet and give you abundant peace.
Thank you for your obedience to record all your albums. It is truly a blessing to me and so many others. I pray that one day I will be able to record songs that have been in my heart for many years and be a blessing to others as you are.
Shalom!
Sonja Elise

Hello and may God’s arms be wrapped around Pastor Aimee this very moment.
You might not remember me, my name is Norma Ortiz and I was a parishioner at
Crossroads Tabernacle on Castle Hill Avenue for about six years. The messages that Pastor Aimee engraved in my mind and heart have stayed with me through the years. I will never forget her and will be eternally grateful for the spiritual messages she extended to me and my family. Something happened and then there was silence, but I will always have respect and gratefulness for the rest of my life. I lost my mom not too long ago and I share in your everlasting love. May she and the family always be given health, happiness and humor.
With Much Sincerity,
Norma Ortiz

Dear Damaris,My prayers go out to you and your family at this very crucial, decision making time in your family.Your mother used to come once a year to Trinity Assembly of God Church in Middletown,NY for our Ladies All Night Prayer Meeting and I got so much spiritual nourishment from her,as I know the other women did.A few years ago,you came to Pastor Lopez church in Scotchtown,NY and once again,I spoke with your mom and was saddened to learn she was not well and hadn’t been for some time.I will keep you all in prayer and will ask other’s to pray for your family and for Sister Aimee.

Dear Damaris,
I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s illness. My father has alzheimer’s dementia, too, it makes me sad, and I know what you’re going through. I have already prayed, and will keep you all in my prayers for this. Please give us updates on how she’s doing. I know that Jesus is with you right now, may He fill you with all love, hope, and peace.
In Christ,
Regina
