Many times it’s been my privilege to minister the Word after Dámaris Carbaugh has sung the Word and blessed the hearts of the people. Her ministry magnifies Jesus Christ alone. Without being “preachy,” she beautifully weaves the Scriptures into her presentation. She fulfills Psalm 89:1–”I will sing of the lovingkindness of the Lord forever; to all generations I will make known your faithfulness with my mouth” (Ps 89:1 NASB). She is a choice servant of God and we thank the Lord for her. — Warren W. Wiersbe, Author and Bible teacher

  2. I have been dealing with much turmoil with neighbors since I moved into my condo five yrs ago. I am a believer in Jesus Christ but lately have doubted His love for me because of this trial and why does the Lord keep allowing it? This morning I heard your song on WMBI (90.1 Chicago, IL) “Standing on the Promises of God” and my heart was filled with confidence and joy again as I sang along.

The devil is trying to steal my joy and fill me with doubt that God does not love me but your song reminded me I will stand in Him because He HAS promised to never leave me nor forsake me. I will Stand on the Promises of God!

    Thank you for your faithfulness!

  4. No other artist has ever ministered to my soul like Damaris, whenever I feel down or at a distant from the Lord I listen to her music and and HE uses it to remind me of His great love for me.
Bless you Damaris, if I never see you again on this old earth I look forward to telling you in Heaven.

  5. Sister Damaris,

I’m glad I found your website today. I was searching for the song,”I’M Clean”, by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir; and though I didn’t find the song–I had wanted to hear it. It has been in my spirit for a couple of weeks now. I was in total awe when I came upon your website and learned of Calvin Hunt’s promotion. I have always loved to hear him sing his testimonial song and hear how God delivered him. I was truly blessed to hear your tribute to Calvin and his wife Miriam. I was also able to hear your ministry of the WORD, I hadn’t known you were a speaker as well as a singer. I will be visiting your website again. I learned a lot today relative to the song, “I’M Clean”, and the fact that it was written by Carol Cymbola. I also learned that there are duets out there (you and Calvin Hunt). I will be purchasing these CD’s/DVD’s.

I am glad I found your website;I was ministered to in more than one way. I believe Holy Spirit led me here today. May God continue to richly bless you, your family and ministry.

    Sincerely,
    Mary Crooms

  6. Dear Damaris, A couple of years ago you did a benefit concert for Emmanuel Christian Academy at The House of the Lord in Akron, Ohio. I want you to know that the heavy anointing upon you was so very evident by your sincere and earnest praise and worship to God and your prayers for the children, the school and everyone present that night that the anointing was like a cloud over the sanctuary that I could almost see hovering over us! God was indeed glorified! I definitely felt His presence and I want you to know that you reached at least one person – me. Your ministering God’s Word through your beautiful singing and through sharing part of your testimony was not in vain! I may not remember every song you sang but I do remember the anointing and feeling the awesome presence of my Saviour. You were God’s messenger! Thank you for coming and blessing us, thank you for blessing my son who is a student there and thank you for coming and blessing me! Thank you for being obedient to God’s leading and for following it! I praise God for you and I thank you once again for laboring in the vineyard! May you be abundantly and richly blessed and rewarded for your faithfulness in serving Him as was King Hezekiah and may He grant you all that you stand in need of beyond all that you could even dare to ask, dream or imagine..Ephesians 3:20. To God be the Glory! Thank you for reminding me that He is the lifter up of my head! You touched my life!

  8. I had heard Damaris multiple times on Christian radio and on CDs but never experienced her live until the Joy of the Journey Conference in Crown Point, IN last weekend. What a genuine love and passion for Christ she communicated as she and Michael Faircloth drew more than 500 women into the presence of the Lord through one of the most meaningful times of worship I have ever experienced! If I didn’t know better, I would have thought this was the first time she had ever sung those songs– they seemed to come straight from her heart to ours. We loved how God used Damaris to awaken us to Himself!

  10. It was such a joy and blessing to learn that Damaris would be the worship leader for the Ravi Zacharias conference. She brought encouragement, inspiration and a blessing to all that attended. Thank you Damaris for sharing your God given gift and for sharing yourself with us, it was a pleasure getting to know you and your family.

  11. I had the privilege of singing a solo in a musical for our church in the early ’90s. The musical was “Till the Whole World Knows Jesus” that, I believe was a Brooklyn Tabernacle production. The song was “Let My Heart Be Broken for the Lost”. I believe you were the one who sang the song in the video. That is the first time I had heard of you and heard you sing. What a blessing!
I have been trying to find that song, as I have misplaced the video. Can you direct me to where I might find the lyrics?
Your ministry in music has blessed my family for many years, and we have great respect for you and what you do. It is my hope to someday hear you in person.
    Sincerely,
    Analita

  14. I was reading in scripture this morning in the book of Romans and when I read verse 16 of the first chapter, where paul says “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ” I thought of Damaris and could hear her singing that song. I was so glad to find this website and to see that you are continuing your singing for the Lord. I wish you were singing a concert in the Dallas area.
I have been blessed by your singing and your testimony. Thank you for being faithful to the Lord.

  16. A friend of mine sand “Friend of a Wounded Heart” for a talent show I hosted many years ago at Benedict College, Columbia, SC (1994). That song pricked my heart on the spot and I learned the words almost instantaneously. This past Saturday, I heard another song of your “The Name of Jesus Medley” on the radio and called the radio station to find out who sang the song. (At the time I did not know your name – just the voice!) They were closed over the weekend but called me back today with a response. Could you imagine how elated I was when I visited your website and learned that it was the same singer whose song had touched my heart in much the same way years before. Your songs minsiter to my very heart and do bring healing. May God continue to bless your ministry and to further enlarge your territory. Believe it or not, your songs bring healing in ways you can’t even imagine! God Bless You!

  20. I often tell the amazing story of driving to Atlanta to the Church of the Apostles to see Damaris one weekend with my husband years ago. Probably, oh 8 or 9 by now. Anyway, I recognized her in the lobby of the Sheraton hotel and she was astonished. Needless to say the rest of the weekend changed my life. I want to tell you that God used her in a way that I have NEVER forgotten. When I got home I told my husband that “she has what I want.” He told me,”then you’ll have to die”. I can tell you a truth “to live is Christ and to die is gain”. Thank you Damaris for you surrender to the Lord and His call on your life.

  21. I enjoyed your concert at the Montrose Bible Conference this past Saturday. I keep humming “I’ll always remember” but that is the only line of lyric I can remember from your song… it seems silly to be singing “I’ll always remember…” followed by a big blank. Could you send me a link where I could download the lyrics? I’ve done a few searches on line, but I only find secular songs with that title.

  22. Damaris, I attend the Christian Working Women’s Conference in Chicago and can’t wait to see you, visit with you and wrap your music around my soul each year! My husband died 3 years ago this coming June and your music has touched and comforted my heart, sometimes it’s the only thing I can listen to that seems to help me feel assured that I have the strength and God’s Blessings to continue on. I fall asleep with my player full of your CD’s many nights. You are such a beautiful person and your love for God shines through your entire being. I can still feel your arms wrapped around me in such a sincere hug … a great feeling that I won’t let go of. Take care and God Bless you and your family. Love you – Vickie Carson

  23. I first heard Damaris a few years ago,oh my soul,I can not describe the feeling that came over me. Her voice is from heaven, I had never been ministered to to that degree in my life. I thank the Lord for giving her such an awesome voice with a unique range. When I am in a spiritual slump I drop my CD in and the Lord uses her voice to lift my spirits. Only in heaven will she know the millions of lives that she has touched through her music. Her voice is but a mere description of the wonders of the Lord and to think that her voiced is not yet glorified! I cannot image how sweet heaven will be when we get there. Damaris will be singing all day, that will be a glorious time. “I Wouldn’t Miss It For The World” God Bless you, Damaris!

  24. Dear Rod and Damaris- Today my husband and I had a very rare opportunity to just listen to several of the CD’s our Lord has made through you since we were driving for 3-4 hours. THE CALL is so awesome since we are convinced of the value of discipleship courses. BODY,SOUL AND SPIRIT is one of my favorites because the truths in the title and content are timeless! I look forward to the songs He’s chosen for the next CD. May you continue to abide and minister In The Presence of Jehovah, dear ones! As He Loves Us, Sheila Dean Bremerton, WA

  27. Dear Damaris and family! I treasure the two times I’ve been able to see/hear you minister in person ‘out here’ in the west! I only wish I lived ‘back there’ so I could attend more concerts and venues. I am grateful to whoever introduced your call to music to my KCIS AM630 radio station because I never would have known of you otherwise… I wish they’d play more of your songs! My most succinct comment I have about your ministry is to tell all what I told ROD one time– FOR me, your voice captures and conveys the peace and warmth I know as a child of our LORD! Thanks for following his leading! (I only wish He’d lead you our west again!) As He Loves Us, Sheila Dean

  28. In 2006 I was going through a deep depression. I didn’t understand God’s love and His forgiveness for me, I felt like He had forgotten about me. Then Damaris came to minister at my church at a concert she did. There were two songs in particular, “Christ In Me” and “He Has Forgiven Me” that really touched my heart that night. I truly felt the presence of the Lord that night, and I felt like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders. Damaris has such a beautiful voice, and sings with such love and passion for Jesus Christ like I’ve never heard before. Her music is worshipful for me, and every time I hear her sing the gospel, I am drawn closer to the Lord. I love Jesus more every day, and my desire is to seek Him more and more, and His will for my life. Damaris and Rod are faithful servants of the Lord, and they have been an encouragement for me to want to be the same. The journey isn’t over with until the Lord calls us home. I pray that the Lord will continue to use them to reach the lost for Jesus Christ through music, and that He will continue to bless them and their ministry richly. Thank you Damaris for sharing, teaching, and encouraging us with your beautiful music, and for your faithful service to our Lord and Savior.
