I’ve met a lot of people who have a great heart for Christ, and I’ve met a few people who are gifted artists in song. Rarely have I met someone who embodies both of these strengths in such a complete way as Damaris Carbaugh. If you like good, Christ-honoring music from a gifted artist with passion, depth, and flair, then you’ll love Damaris’ ministry!

Blessed Hope Conference
05/27/2009
Dámaris taught on “The Well-Dressed Woman” for Blessed Hope at LeTourneau Christian Center on beautiful Canandaigua Lake in upstate New York over the weekend of 5/15-17/09. Her theme was Colossians 3:12-17. To accentuate the theme, they used fancy shoes to decorate the tables. To find your small groups, you matched the shoe patterns on your nametags. Mine was a man’s shoe, so I guess I wasn’t invited to the group discussions!
The Blessed Hope Director, Carol Emerson, offered us the opportunity to stay a few extra days on the lake and relax, so we did! Here are some snapshots of the weekend. Note the “Madison Square Garden” sign in the concert. Dámaris called it “Madison Square Garden North!”
Carol, Jean and Josh took us to the Esperanza Inn, a lovely restaurant with a Bentley outside overlooking a lake. The lunch menu had some delicious sandwiches. They were as good as they looked! Josh’s burger came on pretzel bread! Then we drove to a beautiful Mennonite greenhouse with rows and rows of stunning flowers.
We also took pictures of lovely and interesting homes in Canandaigua. Canandaigua Lake has some of the most expensive lakefront property in the US!
We don’t vacation much, so we thank the Lord for a couple of picturesque days that He provided for us to rest.

Damaris, do you remember speaking about Lackawanna NY…well on our drive home, we discovered a Wilawanna, NY as well. So we decided that we will counter the lackawanna with a new wilawanna for the Lord! You are a wonderful speaker, and I enjoyed the talking as much if not more than the music. My daughter, Casey was singing along with you at the concert…believe me that was quite a break-through.

Hi Damaris,
I’m so glad that you and Rod were able to get away, not only for another ministry opportunity, but also to enjoy some extra time for yourselves and take in the sights there in Canandaigua. I’ve never been there, but heard that it is beautiful, however, I have visited the fingerlakes region many times. Your photos are gorgeous! I continue to pray for God’s rich blessings for you both as you continue to trust in the Lord in your walk with Him. Thanks for blessing so many of us, and for serving Him.

Just a quick “hi”, and that we miss you!!!
I am praying that God will bless you abundantly as you refuse to lean to your own understanding and trust HIM with ALL your heart.
Speaking of “heart”, you will always have a place in mine.
Love ya,

How we enjoyed your time with us at LeTourneau’s 2009 Blessed Hope Women’s Retreat and then on our “tours” of the Finger Lakes area of Upstate NY. It was pleasure to just have some fun during your “extra days” with us! Thank you for blessing our time, for the laughs and for enjoying the beautiful hills, sites and lakes as we “shared” our area. Please remember that you are always welcome in Upstate NY, especially now that you know more about the great vacation opportunities here. ‘Praising God for special times to share His amazing creation and goodness! Thanks, Rod for the photos! I didn’t realize you took so many.
