Damaris has ministered at many of our Christian Working Woman events, by popular demand! Our women really appreciate her music, her heart for the Lord, and her genuiness. In addition, I greatly value her servant attitude.

“Abandoned To God” by David McCasland
02/04/2009
Okay, have you read this book? No?! Then you must order it right now. It is published by Discovery House Publishers Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Honestly, it’s all in the title. Can there be anything more glorious than to give ourselves completely to God?
Maybe some of you have been with people who are very “spiritual” and you might not dare say it but they just strike you sort of weird. Oswald Chambers was nothing of the sort. He was very normal. He was fun, loving, brilliant, cultured, very well read and yet to him nothing could compare to the joy of knowing Him. He loved God so much and yet at times felt frustrated because he did not think he was conveying or persuading people like he’d like to. Here’s a quote from Chambers, “If I could only tell Him as I know Him.”
If you want to read something that will make you run to God, this is the book. It is a rare gem that should be read and reread until you too are satisfied with nothing less than being abandoned to God.

Oswald Chambers is one of the writers that have influenced my walk with the Lord. It is good to see how strong men and women of God lived their lives completely in the world while not of it. Oswald was such a man that proved that we can be holy, while approachable (not “holier-than-thou”).
His statement “I think if I have an ambition, it is just that – to have honourable mention in anyone’s personal relationship with Our Lord Jesus Christ” is one that I claim for myself.

Hello, thanks for your blog and for your ministry! Your DVD “Damaris Carbaugh Live” has really blessed me, as well as your singing with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. I also want to say that this Oswald Chambers books is my favorite biography. I love Christian bios, but this one’s had more impact on my faith than any other I’ve read. I agree with you, folks “must order it right now.”
