If God has called you to be really like Jesus he will draw you into a life of crucifixion and humility, and put upon you such demands of obedience, that you will not be able to follow other people, or measure yourself by other Christians, and in many ways he will seem to let other people do things which he will not let you do.

I just finished reading “How to Choose a Translation for All Its Worth,” by Gordon D. Fee and Mark L. Strauss. It’s a must read for people who want to dig deeper into the Word of God. They explain in a very concise way the when, where, why and how the many Bible versions have come to us.  Even though these two writers are brilliant, you will not find it difficult to understand this very helpful book.  If you want a better understanding of God’s Word and how to study it, then you need to pick this one up now!

Dámaris and I have had a LOT of laughs explaining this YouTube video to our friends.  Tonight, she walked through it with two young Word of Life missionary couples from France that speak French, Spanish and English.  It is almost as funny to watch Dámaris go through this as to watch the real thing!  Here you go… (more…)
